Jon_Chuck_Mike_smRenberg-Trogdon & Cavale was first formed in 2009 as Renberg-Trogdon Insurance Services, by founders Jon S. Renberg and Chuck Trogdon, out of a passion to form partnerships with small and large businesses in the Central Valley and throughout California. RTC, as we’re now known, partnered with Mike Cavale from Visalia, California bringing their collective knowledge and expertise to 80+ years in the insurance, employee benefits, and benefit compliance industries.

With a passion for assisting businesses, Chuck, Jon, Mike and the team at RTC have dedicated their careers to understanding the intricacies of the employee benefits market. We continually strive keep our clients in the most competitive financial position they can be in while maintaining compliance with the myriad benefit, labor and tax laws associated with administering a comprehensive employee benefits package.

Jon Renberg began his career in the insurance industry in 1980 with Pacific Life Insurance Company where he served as a group health insurance claims examiner.

In 1981, Mr. Renberg formed Renberg Insurance Services, Inc., a health insurance agency in Fresno, CA. As an independent health insurance agent, Mr. Renberg assisted employers in all aspects of their health plans. Such areas included: plan design, compliance with state and federal laws and ideas on how to contain healthcare costs.

In 1992, Mr. Renberg acquired Beckwith-Hightower Insurance Services, Inc., a well-respected Third Party Administrator (TPA). As Beckwith, Hightower & Renberg, the company advanced its status as one of the premier TPA’s in Northern California. The company administered mid-size and larger employer self-insured health plans.

Mr. Renberg resides with his wife in Clovis, California.

Chuck Trogdon

Chuck Trogdon has specialized in employee benefits since 1995. Prior to becoming CEO of Renberg-Trogdon & Cavale Insurance Services, Mr. Trogdon was a Senior Account Executive for a national insurance brokerage firm. His focus has been on the employee benefit plans of small and mid-size employers.

Mr. Trogdon has been recognized by Blue Cross of California, Blue Shield of California and various general agents consistently as one of their top insurance brokers. Mr. Trogdon has served as chairman of the California AHU state Political Action Committee and the Central California Association of Health Underwriters executive board as education chair, PAC chair, President- Elect and President.

Mr. Trogdon is a native of Fresno, California where he resides with his wife and children.

Laurie Tucker
Laurie TuckerAccount Manager
Prior to joining RTC in January of 2013, Laurie Tucker had over 18 years of experience in Marketing, Public-speaking and Special Event planning with local and national non-profit organizations.   Earning her Life and Health License in 2010, Laurie has assisted employers and employees with their health insurance plans. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Retail Management.

Not native to California but a mid-western implant, Laurie has made Fresno her home since 1998. Laurie is an animated football fan (go Cowboys!) and spends much of her free time chasing after her five dogs.

Patrice Loretta
Patrice LorettaAccount Manager
Patrice Loretta joined RTC in January of 2014 and obtained her agent’s license in February of 2014. A native of Fresno, Patrice’s 32 years of experience include many roles in marketing, business leadership, management, professional administration and fundraising.  Patrice holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing & Management.  On the personal side Patrice is a big NASCAR fan and pursues any activity that is outdoors including, gardening, cycling and kayaking.
Amanda Mottern
Amanda MotternEligibility Specialist
Prior to joining RTC in May of 2016, Amanda Holt worked as the Eligibility Department Manager with over 10 years of experience at a renowned third-party administrator of self-insured large groups here in Fresno, California.  During her tenure, her expertise focused on eligibility maintenance, HIPAA Administration, COBRA Administration including premium billing, regulatory notices, production of member ID cards, as well as managing a staff of 20 employees.

On the personal side, Amanda is a huge New England Patriots fan and loves spending most of her time with her young son.
